Senior Citizens
At Christchurch, we value the role that Senior Citizens play in the life and activities of our fellowship and the wider community……….we love to come together. We welcome all Senior Citizens to our weekly services, activities and events, at both of our sites, irrespective of church background. A real sense of community and coming together has developed over the years.
Our key events are: Harvesters’ Teatime Fellowship; Reach Out Exercise Classes.
Our vision is:
- To express God’s love through friendship, care and conversation
- To provide a welcoming meeting place in which senior citizens connect, make friends and thrive
- To offer an open, safe and unpressurised environment in which senior citizens might choose to explore faith and develop a personal relationship with Jesus
- To offer, when requested, a listening ear and confidential prayer support
Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
All Senior Citizens’ activities and volunteers operate within the guidelines of our Safeguarding Policy relating to Vulnerable Adults. This includes safe recruitment and training.
