Food Bank
The Food Bank is located in the New Zion Christian Fellowship 40 Cole Green Lane, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 3JE – Wednesdays 9-11am
Along with other churches in Welwyn Garden City we are a food donation drop off point.
Information about the The New Zion Food Bank:
They give out about 500 items of food per week, to those in need in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield. The food you provide is given to those who really are in desperate need – for example those unable to work due to health problems, redundancy and those waiting for benefits to come through. The list below is a list of items that we distribute regularly. However, we are extremely grateful for any (non perishable items) to be donated. If you would like to visit the Food bank, please feel free to call in on a Wednesday morning (between 9am and 11am) and they will be happy to show you around. They now providing eggs in the Food Parcels and would really like more empty egg boxes (the size that fit 6 eggs), as they buy in bulk, but need boxes to distribute to people in the food parcels. If you or any of your congregation are able to collect them on our behalf, we would be very grateful.
